GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A 24% wholesale tax on cannabis takes effect today in Michigan as part of the state's FY26 budget. The tax is lower than the proposed 32% rate and the Treasury projects a 50% wholesale-to-retail markup based on market data. Stacks 92.1
- ➤ The Michigan Department of Treasury announced fuel tax changes taking effect today that raise the per-gallon tax from 31 to 52.4 cents while removing the 6% sales tax and adding about 1.4 cents to fuel prices. All tax revenue will go toward road repairs. Stacks 92.1
