- ➤ MSU women’s basketball coach Robyn Fralick celebrated her 250th win after the team defeated Illinois on Jan. 4— the milestone highlights her leadership and the program’s progress. Lansing State Journal
- ➤ No. 3 MSU hockey beat the USNTDP Under-18 team 4-2 in an exhibition game on home ice. Head coach Adam Nightingale praised the strong start (despite missing key players) and said the Spartans will face Ohio State on Jan. 9. The State News
- ➤ Michigan State football added former UConn offensive lineman Ben Murawski on Sunday, Jan. 4 at 3:55 p.m. He is 6-foot-7 (from Pennsylvania) and will help improve the Spartans’ offensive line following a season with many sacks. Lansing State Journal
