- ➤ MSU professor Pete Johnston ended his Jeopardy! run last night in the Champions Wildcard Tournament after he answered the Final Jeopardy question about Biblical art incorrectly — his December win in the Second Chance Tournament boosted his comeback and spurred a lively watch party at Pizza House in Alma. - ➤ Michigan schools may soon offer optional teen firearm safety classes that teach accident prevention (and safe hunting practices) after Governor Whitmer signed a new law. The courses can meet hunting license requirements and aim to reduce accidental injuries among students. FOX 47

- ➤ A bright meteor lit up the skies above Lansing on Saturday, Jan. 10, with over 30 sightings reported from Michigan and neighboring states, while local researchers triangulated its breakup zone near the city and experts invited residents to verify potential meteorites. WKAR
