- ➤ Altu’s Ethiopian Cuisine will open a second location at 4738 Central Park Drive in Okemos. The restaurant, known for its acclaimed dishes in East Lansing for 30 years, is set for a soft launch early February. WJIM AM
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The FDA expanded a recall on several Spring and Mulberry chocolate bars sold in Michigan after routine testing showed they might be Salmonella-contaminated; no illnesses have been reported. The bars were sold starting Sept. 15 and buyers should throw them away and call the company for a refund. WJIM AM

- ➤ On Sunday, Jan. 18, Michigan State women's basketball lost to Iowa 75-68 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, ending a nine-game winning streak. The Spartans trailed throughout and could not overcome key shots late in the contest. Lansing State Journal
