  • Two new eateries are coming soon to Lansing + Bubbakoo’s Burritos will open on Valentine's Day near Frandor while Shake Shack debuts Wednesday, Feb. 18 in the former Rite Aid space. Both openings add to a list of 20 restaurants set to launch this year.  WJIM AM

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Governor Whitmer signed a law banning smartphones from public classrooms starting this fall, though students may carry basic phones and keep smartphones locked up during instruction (districts may impose stricter rules).
