- ➤ The Michigan State University Board of Trustees approved a nearly $35 million plan on Feb. 6 to convert Wilson Hall's closed dining hall into engineering learning labs, and past and present residents have voiced disappointment online over not being included in the decision-making process. - ➤ Governor Whitmer will deliver her final State of the State address tonight at the Capitol, where she will outline education and literacy plans including a $625M investment to boost student reading programs (the largest allocation in Michigan history). FOX 47

- ➤ Gov. Whitmer ordered U.S. and Michigan flags to be lowered to half-staff today and tomorrow to honor Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr., who died Feb. 17 after a long battle with neuromuscular disease. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Michigan shoppers should check their freezers for Aldi’s recalled meatballs after nearly 9,500 pounds were pulled from shelves for containing metal fragments.
