- ➤ The Diocese of Lansing announced nearly a dozen priest reassignments across 10 parishes in locations including Lansing, East Lansing, Brighton, and Mason, with changes set to take effect July 1. Bishop Earl Boyea made the announcement Monday. Lansing State Journal

- ➤ Two Michigan State University seniors will pitch their startup BRCĒ with patented untie-resistant shoelaces on ABC’s Shark Tank tonight from 10 to 11 p.m. A watch party will be held at Lansing Brewing Company (518 E. Shiawassee St.) to support them. Lansing State Journal

- ➤ Wharton Center celebrates its 45th anniversary season with a Broadway series that includes Beetlejuice, Six, The Notebook, The Outsiders, The Lion King, Hell’s Kitchen, Boop! and Phantom of the Opera. Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. today to bring high-caliber theater—worthy of legacy performances—to East Lansing. Lansing City Pulse
- ➤ Wharton Center announced its 45th Broadway Series season for 2026 to 2027 with six shows and two special events; upcoming productions include The Lion King from April 8 to 27, 2027 and The Phantom of the Opera from Aug. 25 to Sept. 5, 2027 with season subscriptions on sale. - ➤ Officials from Potterville and Fowlerville are among six candidates interviewed for Holt’s superintendent role (as David Hornak retires at year’s end). Public interviews will be held on March 11 and 12 in the board room at 5780 W. Holt Rd., with a final selection expected by summer. Lansing State Journal
- ➤ Christopher Hansen, a Potterville Middle School teacher, received an Excellence in Education award from the Michigan Lottery that offers a $2,000 cash prize now and a chance at $10,000 later. The honor recognizes his work with seventh and eighth grade students both in and out of the classroom. Stacks 92.1
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Michigan native actor Bruce Campbell said on Monday, March 2 (via social media) that his treatable, not curable, cancer diagnosis will affect his work schedule. His announcement has drawn support from fellow actors. Lansing State Journal

- ➤ Ava Harmon, one of the area's top high school swimmers, transferred from Holt after freshman year and quickly found success with a new female coach — Madelyn Zink — who helped her overcome mental challenges and earn third-place finishes in major meets. She now plans to pursue collegiate or club swimming. WKAR
- ➤ The Sexton boys basketball team won 58 to 55 against Michigan Center at Fowlerville High School on March 3, securing their spot in the regional final against Chelsea on March 5. Key free throws by Murray, Brown and Summerville helped the team rally late. Lansing State Journal
- ➤ MSU's Kennedy Blair earned second team All Big Ten honors Tuesday as she boosted her averages to 13.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.4 steals to lead the Spartans. Coach Robyn Fralick said her growth impressed on both offense and defense. Lansing State Journal
