- ➤ Two MSU seniors pitched innovative shoelace technology on Shark Tank last week and received a $300,000 deal for 20% of their company BRCĒ. The product began as a class project at MSU and now includes a new line for kids with plans for more applications in athletics and other fields. Lansing City Pulse
- ➤ Sea LeVeaux, a Cajun seafood boil restaurant, will open at the former Grand Traverse Pie Company location on South Washington Square by April. The restaurant will offer fast-casual dining with customizable Cajun bowls and alcoholic drinks (license pending) for about 40 guests. Lansing State Journal
- ➤ Gray Media and DISH Network did not reach a deal to renew retransmission fees, so DISH customers lost access to WILX on Tuesday, March 10 in mid-Michigan. Viewers are advised to use an antenna+ streaming apps for local news, sports and weather. Lansing State Journal

- ➤ Amanda Greeson, a Lansing mother of four, is leaving after 26 years because her electric bill often tops $1,000 and once reached nearly $5,000. She will close on a new home in Leslie soon where previous owners paid much less for utilities. FOX 47
- ➤ On March 10, the statewide average for regular gasoline reached $3.55 per gallon, 56 cents higher from last week and 72 cents more than a month ago as global oil tensions and seasonal refinery shifts drove up prices above the national average. WJIM AM

- ➤ Legendary drummer Harvey Mason, nicknamed Chameleon, joins MSU’s jazz studies program this week to mentor students and rehearse for a Sunday concert. - ➤ Bryeana Rinvelt, a math and STEM teacher at Inland Lakes Secondary School, was named the Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education award winner today after a colleague nominated her.
