ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A commercial building hosting Rustic Roots was lost to a fire on Monday, March 16 after heavy black smoke was seen coming off its west end, and cleanup began Tuesday morning with firefighters bringing in heavy machinery to prevent a roof collapse; no one was injured. Lansing State Journal
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Lansing is set for an economic boost as Tesla finalized a $4.3 billion deal at the new LG Energy Solution facility in Delta Township. - ➤ Howell High School senior Lilly Williams, a new Michigan State signee, was named Michigan Miss Basketball on Monday at a ceremony in Detroit (the first Spartan signee to win since 2021) after a standout season that included snapping Belleville’s 35-game winning streak. The State News
- ➤ Former Northwestern linebacker Pat Fitzgerald began his era in Michigan State football with the team’s first spring practice on Tuesday, March 17 at Spartan Stadium (East Lansing).
