- ➤ At the VFW National Home in Eaton Rapids, veterans participated in the Guitars for Vets program that offered one-on-one guitar lessons on Feb. 18th, March 3rd and March 4th to help ease service-related trauma—local instructors taught veterans from Lansing and nearby areas. Lansing State Journal

- ➤ Lansing’s aviation history began with a stunt flight on October 15th, 1911 at a former racetrack later turned into a golf course, and the first airfield opened in 1919 before a modern Capital City Airport began operations on May 1st, 1926 — a shift that led to milestones such as air mail delivery in 1928 — setting the stage for decades of local flight history.
