- ➤ Lansing police are asking the public to help locate 92-year-old Sharif Hassan — who is considered endangered after he was last seen on April 10th in the 3200 block of South Washington Avenue. Lansing State Journal

- ➤ Ryan Anderson— a case manager at Holt High School— has been chosen for the weekly Excellence in Education award from the Michigan Lottery and will get a $2,000 prize while also being eligible for Educator of the Year at the end of the school year. - ➤ East Lansing graduate Aaliyah Nye was picked by the Las Vegas Aces on April 14 with the 13th overall pick after a strong career at Alabama and became the first local high school grad drafted since 2005—she scored 1,739 points and set a 3-pointer record. Michigan State's Julia Ayrault accepted a Phoenix Mercury training camp invite after not being selected in the draft and earned second team All-Big Ten honors after scoring over 1,000 career points.
