- ➤ A man aged 22 was stabbed and left in critical condition just before 10 a.m. on West Jolly and Wexford roads in south Lansing—police arrested a suspect in connection with the attack. Lansing State Journal

- ➤ MSU’s play Inching Towards Yeolha is based on the diary of an 18th century Korean philosopher and shows a village caught in sandstorms with hard choices of free will and fate—led by 19 actors including Shelby Parker as Yeon-Ahm. - ➤ Michigan launched the Ticket to Tuition FAFSA Sweepstakes yesterday to give high school students a chance to win a share of $1,000,000 by filling out their FAFSA for the first time and texting CASH to 855-505-8425 before May 16. Governor Gretchen Whitmer said the prizes include 40 awards of $10,000 and 10 awards of $50,000 that will be placed in educational savings accounts to help lower college costs. WKAR

- ➤ Bird flu is spreading in Michigan and experts say most people can use backyard bird feeders if they keep them clean and do not mix them with poultry.
