- ➤ Some Michigan Avenue businesses said that the $14 million road reconstruction project hurt access and brought fewer customers while parking and longer walks made reaching stores harder. - ➤ East Lansing is asking for people to join its Historic District Commission to review changes to old building exteriors and teach about preservation. - ➤ Eaton County officials say the Animal Control building may shut down if the public safety millage fails on May 6—more revenue is needed for building upgrades and staffing. Neighbor Nicole Christensen, who has rescued abandoned dogs, is ready to house more animals if needed. FOX 47
