- ➤ Capital Region International Airport will add nonstop flights to Tampa operated by Breeze Airways, with service twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting October 1 (fares are as low as $79 one-way when booked by May 13 for travel through January 6). - ➤ Ticks in Michigan are active from April to September and may spread diseases like Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and anaplasmosis. Residents venturing outdoors should wear light-colored clothing, use insect repellent, and check themselves and their pets for ticks (the state monitors over 20 tick species to assess risk). - ➤ Ray & Mascari Inc.—based in Indianapolis—has recalled its 4-count Vine Ripe Tomatoes in a 20 oz container sold through Gordon Food Services in Michigan due to salmonella concerns. - ➤ Michigan State’s men’s golf team built a deep roster after star Ashton McCulloch was injured — which gave Lansing-area players Caleb Bond and Drew Miller more playing time — and now they will compete in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional from May 12 to 14.
