GOVERNMENT NEWS

- ➤ MSU athletics announced on Tuesday morning that women's soccer head coach Jeff Hosler agreed to a five-year contract extension that will keep him at the helm until 2030. Hosler has led the team to Big Ten championships and deep playoff runs. The State News
- ➤ MSU hockey landed elite prospect Ethan Belchetz, a 6-5 (227 lb) power forward from the Windsor Spitfires, who was projected to be among the top 15 picks in the upcoming NHL draft and is expected to be healthy for the October season opener. Lansing State Journal
