- ➤ Lansing police responded to a call on May 12th about a non-breathing infant in the 200 block of Dunlap Street — the child was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead with no signs of foul play. Lansing State Journal

- ➤ A new NAEP report shows that Michigan students lag in fourth-grade reading and eighth-grade math—Michigan ranked 44th in reading and 31st in math from 2024. The report also places the state among the bottom 10 for learning loss. Stacks 92.1
