- ➤ State legislators introduced bipartisan bills to expand AMBER alert criteria — allowing law enforcement to issue alerts for missing children if they are believed to be in danger or have special needs and to use social media for quicker broadcasts. The proposals, which come after a 2024 case involving six-year-old Rowan Morey, have been referred to the Committee on Families and Veterans for review. WLNS
