COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Lansing’s Durant Park is known for its grand archway entrance built of Indiana limestone that was completed in 1924 and stands at the park’s edge. General Motors founder William C. Durant bought a block of three acres in 1919, landscaped it and donated it to the city in 1921—today the park features mature trees, a circular garden, a red, white and blue tree-like sculpture, a playground, benches, grills and a covered performance stage. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ MSU’s Department of Theatre is set to launch the Summer Circle Theatre season from June 5 to June 22 with three productions and extra pre- and post-show events including cabarets and improv — providing free outdoor shows for our community.
