Tameka Long, 51, was arraigned on May 28 on felony and misdemeanor charges after a gun was found at Everett High School, facing charges for assault, resisting arrest and taser possession in a weapons-free school zone (her bond is $3,500).

Okemos High School was placed on a preventative lockdown after officials received a threat call on May 29+ Meridian Township police and first responders reported no sign of threat activity while Bennett Woods Elementary was placed in secure mode and other schools operated normally.
