CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Tameka Long, 51, was arraigned on May 28 on felony and misdemeanor charges after a gun was found at Everett High School, facing charges for assault, resisting arrest and taser possession in a weapons-free school zone (her bond is $3,500). Lansing State Journal
- ➤ Okemos High School was placed on a preventative lockdown after officials received a threat call on May 29+ Meridian Township police and first responders reported no sign of threat activity while Bennett Woods Elementary was placed in secure mode and other schools operated normally. - ➤ Lansing police are asking residents to help find endangered 65-year-old Eric Russell Adams, who was last seen at 11 a.m. on May 27 near the 1900 block of East Miller Road wearing a green and black "Take me to Michigan" shirt, blue jeans, a black puffer coat, and a black-and-white Detroit Tigers hat—anyone with information should call 517-483-4600. - ➤ MSU Department of Theatre will stage three free outdoor productions beginning June 5 in the Summer Circle Courtyard behind the Auditorium Building. The shows — a comedy based on Neil Simon’s play, a drama inspired by Walt Whitman’s poetry, and a musical from Mo Willems’ books — give students hands-on experience in acting and backstage work. WKAR
