ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 22-year-old motorcyclist from Onondaga was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after crashing into a box truck in Delhi Township on Saturday afternoon—he was not wearing a helmet while the truck driver was uninjured. WLNS
- ➤ Drivers on US-127 in Lansing ignore exit-only signs along the northbound lane and make dangerous merges from I-496 near a construction zone—raising risks for all. Officials say that following the road signs closely is needed to help prevent accidents. WJIM AM
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 19-year-old Lansing woman was arrested on May 30 and arraigned on June 1 on charges including assault with intent to murder—carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearm—after a shooting in the Meridian Mall parking lot wounded two people; her bond was set at $1 million while police are still searching for a burgundy sedan. - ➤ Meridian Township Police arrested Alexia Isabel Jimenez, a 19-year-old Lansing resident, on May 31 for a shooting at Meridian Mall and she was arraigned June 1 on charges of assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and felony firearm—police also asked neighbors for help finding a second car linked to the incident.
