- ➤ A car crashed into a house on the north side of Lansing near the 4100 block of Grand River Ave. at 2 a.m. Friday—police said no one was injured and it is unclear if alcohol or drugs were involved. WLNS
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Lansing Police are searching for three suspects involved in an armed robbery on Thursday night at about 11:30 p.m. on the 6000 Block of South Cedar Street + two suspects were armed when they entered a business, assaulted a clerk, and stole money and merchandise with no injuries reported. FOX 47
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ MSU is cutting 9% of its general funding over the next two years to balance its budget — several departments have already seen staffing changes and voluntary retirements will begin in July. The university is working with unions while students and faculty worry over possible shifts in class formats. WJIM AM
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Michigan law warns homeowners that disturbing or moving an occupied bird nest can lead to a fine up to $500 or up to 90 days in jail—residents should leave nests intact until they are unoccupied or call local authorities for safe removal.
