GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Michigan Department of Transportation will begin several road work projects this week that may cause traffic delays. HEALTH NEWS

  • Lyme disease cases in Michigan increased 168% over the past five years as ticks thrive with warmer winters and more mobile mammals. Health officials recommend residents use EPA-approved repellents and cover up to reduce bites (and check themselves after outdoor activities).  WJIM AM

SPORTS NEWS

  • Michigan State hockey season ticket holders received an email last week that raised prices by $2 per game and added seat premiums of $100, $200 and $300 for chairback seats.
