ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Lansing police said a single-vehicle crash on the 300 block of West Oakland Avenue around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug 23 killed two people and left one person in critical condition—alcohol and speed were factors—after the vehicle struck a utility pole. Lansing State Journal
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Spongy moths, renamed from gypsy moth in 2021, have long damaged Michigan trees and decks by shredding leaves and dropping frass. Outbreaks occur every 7 to 10 years—residents are urged to report sightings through the Midwest Invasive Species Information Network. WJIM AM
