- ➤ A new Chick-fil-A will be built at 2615 Lake Lansing Road near Eastwood Towne Center on the former Comerica Bank site as construction is set to begin in spring—its opening date will depend on progress. Construction and planning continue to move forward. WJIM AM
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Stellantis is spending $230 million in Michigan to add 900 union jobs and upgrade its plants in Warren and Detroit. The Warren plant will build a new SUV while the Detroit facility will be upgraded for a new Dodge Durango that will start production in 2029 — a move that boosts Michigan’s auto industry. WJIM AM

- ➤ On Saturday, hundreds gathered at the Capitol lawn in Lansing for a coordinated 'No Kings' demonstration as part of over 100 protests held across Michigan and the nation—banners and speakers called for defending democracy while volunteers offered water and snacks. The peaceful event took place before heavy rain was forecast to arrive later in the day. WKAR

- ➤ Lansing State Journal columnist Graham Couch graded Michigan State’s game at Indiana where the offense made long drives—recording 367 yards—but the defense gave up 464 yards and allowed five touchdowns as the Spartans lost 38–13 on Saturday. Lansing State Journal
- ➤ Michigan State will host Michigan in a night game on October 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing; the game marks the 118th meeting between the two teams and will air on NBC. Lansing State Journal
