  • Farmers markets across Mid-Michigan have moved indoors for the winter as cold weather limits fresh produce while regular customers still shop. Holt Farmers Market in Delhi Charter Township and the Green Market at Allegiance Health in Jackson plan to expand vendor offerings in 2026 (doubling vendors at Holt).  WKAR
  • Capital Region International Airport in Lansing is set to welcome busy holiday travelers as travel runs now through Jan. 2 with American Airlines, Delta, and Breeze operating flights.   • Ionetix, a cancer treatment company, receives $1.7 million from a $25 million statewide workforce program to train both current and new employees in advanced injectable drug technology (using cyclotron techniques) to boost local innovation.  FOX 47

  • WKAR-TV airs Camp RicStar today at 2 p.m., an award-winning documentary on the MSU-based Eric-RicStar Winter Music Therapy Camp that has provided an inclusive music program for people with disabilities since 2003.  WKAR
  • The Poetry Room and the MSU Department of Art, Art History, and Design launch their Holiday Issue featuring poetry on community, food, and the holidays.   • Lansing School District Superintendent Ben Shuldiner is ending his tenure on January 31 as he prepares to take a new position in Seattle after boosting attendance and graduation rates + student test scores; First Deputy Superintendent Jessica Benavides will serve as interim superintendent starting February 1.  WKAR

  • Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced that starting Jan. 2, 2026, residents can order the revived red, white and blue license plate to mark America's 250th birthday. The limited-edition plate costs $55 with $50 supporting local transportation improvements.  WJIM AM
  • Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel warned consumers today about holiday scams that trick shoppers with sudden business closures, gift card demands, and shifting return policies.
