- ➤ Collegiate teams participated in the 11th annual Green and White Gala on Saturday at IM Circle. Hosted by the MSU Ballroom Dance Team, competitors from several universities were judged on their dance styles and technique, featuring both slow Latin and fast-paced dances — such as swing and cha-cha. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Michigan’s DNR reported the 2025 deer season ended with about 295,739 harvested deer as of Feb. 1 after the extended archery season ended Jan. 31; tag holders must now report within 72 hours + face a fine for late reports. WJIM AM
- ➤ The Michigan DNR wildlife division said its budget is stretched as hunting and fishing license fees have not increased since 2014 — growing costs and a 30% drop in hunters have strained its aging facilities and slowed response times. WKAR
