CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Lansing police said that a 28-year-old man was left in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash early Sunday, June 8 on MLK Blvd near Briarfield Drive— and a 24-year-old woman later turned herself in and was arrested. Lansing State Journal
- ➤ Lansing police reported that a 59-year-old man was fatally shot on Sunday afternoon near Bardaville Street at around 5:38 p.m.—no arrests have been made and officers do not believe the incident was random. Lansing State Journal

- ➤ Michigan State football secured commitments from three three-star prospects (cornerback KJ Deriso, defensive lineman Christopher Knauls Jr. and safety Eliyjah Caldwell-Hardy) over the weekend, bringing Coach Jonathan Smith's 2026 class to nine players.
