- ➤ East Lansing will soon get a Dairy Queen Grill and Chill in the former PappaRoti building on Trowbridge Road—construction is underway and a grand opening date will be announced soon. WJIM AM
- ➤ JCPenney will complete the sale of 119 stores – including six in Michigan at Twelve Oaks and Lakeside – on September 8 as part of its restructuring since exiting bankruptcy, leaving local shoppers uncertain if new owners will keep the stores open. - ➤ The Michigan Department of Transportation will begin several road work projects this week that may cause traffic delays. MDOT will close lanes on I-96 near Lansing for a three-year rebuilding project starting Aug 12—other crews will resurface over 5 miles of M-95 in Republic and work on intersections in Ingham County and road resurfacing in Barry County with some projects ending in September.
